Spider Silk
This cloth was made out of the filaments from the golden orb spider of Madagascar.
The color was not dyed.
It took 4 years, more than 1 million spiders, and 80+ humans to create, and it is 5 to 6 times stronger than steel (by weight).
It is currently on display at the
American Museum of Natural History
.
