| Designers Hissa Igarashi and Sayuri Marakumi
created the dress out of 50,000 gummy bears, to pay homage to the late
designer Alexander McQueen. The gummy bears were arranged in a rainbow chevron-like
pattern inspired by a McQueen rainbow feather dress. The dress consisted of a wire base and took three weeks to hand glue each gummy bear. Three people were also needed to move the dress, as it ended up weighing 220 pounds. |
